OnView - Enterprise Content Capture
OnView is a powerful Enterprise Content Capture suite. It provides a cost effective, accurate and simple way to transform paper documents, e-content, web forms, emails, SMS's and faxes into digital content that can be stored and indexed into a repository and retrieved fast. OnView is built directly on the IBM FileNet API set and consists of the following components:
- OnView Scan- Bulk capture of documents from scanner or from local disk
- OnView Email- Bulk capture of all emails in one or more email accounts
- OnView Fax - Bulk capture of inbound faxes
- OnView WebForm - Bulk capture of web forms submitted from intranet or internet sites
- OnView QuickDocs- Bulk capture of documents stored in local file directory
- OnView SMS - Captures incoming text messages from SMS Modem (low volume) or Corporate SMS Provider (e.g. O2)
- OnView ADR - Advanced Document Recognition (ADR) services to documents captured through OnView to perform sophisticated ICR and OCR character recognition for indexing
- OnView Capture - Assembly, Indexing, Verification, Auditing and Management of all batches captured through OnView which have not been able to be automatically indexed and committed
- OnView Office - Plug ins to the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, Publisher, Project, Outlook) and Lotus Notes to enable users to elect to store and index documents from within the application to the IBM FileNet repository (IS or CM) as required.
- OnView Desktop - Documents can be readily stored and indexed to an IBM FileNet repository (IS or CM) using a “drag and drop” approach on a Windows desktop
OnView acheives a very high level of metadata quality and consistency. This is because all elements of the OnView suite share a common configuration database and tool allowing common validation and enrichment properties and rules to be set for particular document types. Similarly the index fields and lookup tables are applied to all components enabling consistent indexing and validation of documents no matter which way they enter the system.
